TeleHealth Services
Why virtual?
Life is busy! TeleHealth can fit into your life easily because there is no commute. It lets you meet with a specialist even if we’re not located near your home or office (or perhaps your home-office). And TeleHealth lets you meet with your provider even when weather isn’t ideal. This is Illinois after all.
Most clients who explore the benefits of telehealth appreciate the convenience
o TeleHealth allows you to engage in therapy via secure, live video. Meet with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your home. TeleHealth makes therapy portable, so you can meet when you’re away from home, too. And don’t worry, research supports that therapy is equally effective in person or by telehealth. Please see our New Clients page for TeleHealth set-up and TeleHealth Consent information.
o Dr. Raza has provided TeleHealth services since 2017. She has even published research on expanding TeleMental Health: https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/full/10.1089/tmr.2020.0011.
What services are offered virtually?
o Plenty! We’re happy to report that telehealth is highly effective for most psychological interventions. These include Couples Therapy (IBCT) https://ibct.org/user/gina-raza/, Exposure-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Anxiety, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based approaches, Trauma-focused treatments (such as Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)), relaxation and stress management skills, healthy sleep habits, and more.
We provide tele-therapy to 40+ states:
o Dr. Gina Raza can now offer tele-therapy services to more than 40 states.
